Hinterland Adventures has a team of knowledgeable, dedicated guides and instructors, assistants and support staff.

Our tour leaders have professional leadership training in Outdoor Leadership Development - including provincial certification in Wilderness Navigation, Survival, Emergency Procedures and Remote Wilderness First Aid. They also have CPR and Saint John Ambulance Wilderness First Aid.

 Hantford Lewis

Hinterland Adventures & Gear founder and senior guide, Hantford is an experienced woodsman with over twenty years of wilderness guiding and is a British Canoe Union (BCU) certified sea kayak and canoe leader.  He has obtained his Kayaking Guide Certificate from AECSKO - Atlantic Eastern Canadian Sea Kayaking Outfitters. Hantford has a current Saint John's Ambulance Wilderness First Aid designation.   


  Dan Robichaud

Dan completed the Guide Training Program from East Coast Outfitters in 2007 where he obtained a Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 2 certification.  He is qualified in Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid (WRFA), and Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics.
